Do I need to reserve?
Everyday rentals are first come, first served. For a larger group or a paddleboard lesson, call or text in advance to arrange it.
What can I rent?
Paddleboards, single and tandem kayaks, pedal boats, water trikes and canoes. Water trike models vary by location. Ask the beach team what is available when you arrive.
What comes with a rental?
Life jackets and help getting launched. Kayaks, pedal boats, water trikes and canoes include a marine safety kit; paddleboards include a leash and a short orientation.
I’m new to paddleboarding. Can I try it?
Yes. Paddleboard rentals include an orientation. For a longer introduction, reserve a SUP Discovery lesson at Rotary Beach: 1.5 hours, with 2 to 6 participants.
Where do I find you?
Rotary Beach Park in Kelowna, Tugboat Bay Beach downtown through associate Ollie’s Beach Rentals, Bear Creek Provincial Park in West Kelowna, and Sun-Oka Beach Provincial Park near Summerland.
Can the family share a pedal boat?
Pedal boats seat two adults and three small children. Super-sized water trikes seat two adults and one child. The team will help you choose a craft and life jackets that fit your group.
Are you open all year?
Rentals are seasonal. Kelowna’s published season runs from May 15 to September 15, with longer daily hours in summer. The provincial park locations have a shorter season. Check the locations page and call before travelling.
What if it’s windy or raining?
Rentals depend on the weather, forecast and lake conditions. The beach may close in wind, rain or rough water. If a reserved lesson is cancelled for weather, the team offers rescheduling or a refund.
Can I bring a school group or celebrate with friends?
Yes. The team arranges paddleboard events for schools, clubs, birthdays, bachelorette groups and fitness or yoga groups. Get in touch early with your group size, preferred date and beach.
How can I pay?
All major credit cards are accepted. Rental prices are shown in Canadian dollars. Ask the team to confirm your total and any applicable taxes before you rent.
